Chrisman California Islands Center
The Chrisman California Islands Center is the gateway to Carpinteria, CA. With exhibits, archives, films, art, live feeds from 2 dozen Island cams, and much more, CCIC brings the history of California’s islands alive. CCIC’s mission is, “California’s Islands – Saving Their History, Telling Their Stories.”
As an educational research center, CCIC is dedicated to collecting, maintaining, and cataloging historical items, creating displays for public benefit, and promoting research and publications dealing with historical aspects of the California Islands.
The CCIC strives to connect all people with the islands off California’s coast.

The Santa Cruz Island Foundation, the parent organization for the Chrisman California Islands Center, is a non-profit public benefit corporation established in 1985 by the late Carey Stanton to collect, maintain, and catalog items of real and personal property or interests regarding Santa Cruz Island and the other California Channel Islands, unique island environments off the coast of Southern California.
